ITS STORY
Its mention as a neighbourhood in the land register of 1573 shows that the building existed before that date. It was long used as a rented house and has recently been restored as a mosque.
History
The fact that it was mentioned as a neighborhood in the Tahrir Register of 1573 shows that the building existed before. Like many mosques that have been sold, this building was used as a rented house for a long time, and in recent years it has been revived and turned into a place of worship again.
The mosque is among the places of worship built in the same style and with the same materials as the Hoca Yunus, Tavukçu Reis and Zağferanlık masjids, which have been revived as mosques in recent years.
Architecture
The mosque has a rectangular volume, and a hipped wooden roof is covered with tiles. Rubble stone and irregular brick rows have been used in the masonry. It has a narthex with closed sides, supported by two wooden posts with Bursa arches and a wooden eave.
