ITS STORY
Although it has no inscription, the mosque is known to have been built in the reign of Fâtih by Derviş Mehmed, known as Bâzergânzâde. It is called Yeni Bezzaz because it was built after the nearby Ibn Bezzaz Mosque. After the 1855 earthquake it was given a pitched roof, and the 1963 repairs restored its dome; today it is used mostly by bazaar traders.
